Picture peeling the skin off an orange. That white, fibrous stuff clinging to the fruit underneath? It's not just filler — it holds everything in place, gives the orange its shape, and connects every segment to every other. Your body has something remarkably similar, and it wraps around every muscle, organ, nerve, and bone you've got.
It's called fascia. And if you've been dealing with chronic tightness, unexplained pain, or mobility that just won't improve no matter how much you stretch — there's a very real chance fascia is at the center of it.
For most of the history of modern medicine, fascia was treated as packaging material. Surgeons cut through it to get to the "important" stuff. Exercise scientists mostly ignored it. So What Exactly Is Fascia?
Fascia is a continuous network of connective tissue made primarily of collagen.
